Building Entrepreneurial Capacity
Your vision isn't too big. You just need to build the capacity to match it.
Smart, capable, trained, talented — and still stuck. That combination is more common than anyone talks about.
It's not laziness. It's not a lack of strategy. It's not that you haven't learned enough or listened to enough podcasts or invested in enough programs.
You genuinely care about the work, and in your best moments, you know you have something real to offer, a vision of something that could have big impact on the people it touches, and yet… Things aren’t moving forward.
Maybe you can see exactly where you need to go and can't make yourself take the steps to get there. Maybe you've built something that works on paper but exhausts you. Maybe you're performing a confidence you don't quite feel yet, waiting for the moment it becomes real.
Maybe it felt like you had momentum going and then something happened — a rupture with a client, a financial setback, a launch failure, or even just a season that took more than it gave — and now the idea of trying again carries a weight it didn't used to.
Whatever the flavor, in my world, this stuck has a name – It's a capacity gap.
It’s not a confidence issue, a mindset problem, or the kind of stuck that doing another certification or training can resolve.
It’s also not a messaging, marketing, or sales problem, and even though there are often gaps, attunements, adjustments, and uplevels that can create huge changes in these areas, none of it will solve the actual problem.
It’s not a vision problem — you've had that since the beginning, or you wouldn’t have started, even if clarity hasn’t fully dropped in yet or you find yourself wavering and questioning yourself.
Your vision isn't too big. You just need to build the capacity to match it.
What hasn't caught up yet is the emotional capacity to stay regulated (not calm) when the work gets hard and visible and uncertain.
The narrative capacity to tell the truth about what you do and who you are, to fall down and get back up with more resolve, to support yourself with an internal belief that might waiver, but that doesn’t fall apart every single time things don’t go your way.
The change capacity to absorb difficulty, test things out publicly before it feels perfect, raise your prices, make the scary pivot, walk away from what’s not aligned and double down on what’s not yet working but is aligned, and grow your business's structure to match what you're actually trying to build.
That's what Building Entrepreneurial Capacity offers.
Not to hand you someone else's roadmap. Not to rush you toward a revenue milestone that looks good in a screenshot. To build — slowly, deliberately, with real staying power — the capacity for you and your work to fully take off.
You're not too much, too late, or too far behind. It's not even that you're not ready. You're just not yet prepared to hold the size of the vision you're carrying and what bringing it to life is actually going to ask of you. You're under-capacity for what you want to create.
This is the container that helps you grow your entrepreneurial capacity while you simultaneously grow your project, your business, your brand -- and it's the only place on the internet you'll find that does both.
Introducing…
Building Entreprenuerial Capacity
Your vision isn't too big. You just need to build the capacity to match it.
You started this — whatever this is for you, a coaching practice, a creative business, a platform, a service, a body of work you're trying to get into the world — because you care. Not performatively. Not as a brand strategy. You actually care about the people your work touches, the problems it solves, the change it creates. That care is not incidental to what you're building.
It is the whole point… and it’s probably part of what's making this so hard.
When you care about doing harm, visibility feels dangerous. When your ethics are non-negotiable, monetization feels like a minefield. When your work is tied to your values at a cellular level, every stumble feels like more than a business setback — it feels like a referendum on whether you're actually the person you're trying to be. The depth of your care, without the capacity to hold it, becomes the very thing that keeps you small.
This shows up differently depending on where you are. Maybe you're just starting out — you know you have something real to offer and you can't seem to make yourself charge for it, put it out there, or back yourself publicly without your nervous system treating it like a threat.
Maybe you've been building for years and hit a ceiling that strategy alone won't move — you know what the next step is but can’t seem to take it.
Maybe you had real momentum and something broke — a client rupture, a financial hit, a launch that failed, a season that cost you more than you expected — and now trying again feels heavier than it should.
Maybe you want to build a speaking career or a platform or an audience and you don't yet know how to monetize it, or you're not sure you're supposed to, or the idea of doing so feels off in a way you can’t resolve.
Whatever the version — you're not broken, you're not behind, and you're not the only one in this room.
That matters, because the room here is genuinely different.
The people in this container are coaches and consultants, creatives and service providers, practitioners and platform builders, people running businesses, physical projects and virtual ones, in industries that probably have nothing obvious in common — except this…
They all do work they believe in, they all want to make real money doing it, and not one of them would trade their ethics for a bigger revenue number. They are ambitious and values-driven in equal measure, which is rarer than it should be, and which makes the community itself part of what this container offers.
This is not a room full of people optimizing for screenshots. It's also not a room full of people who've resigned themselves to staying small because staying small feels safer than selling out. It's the space in between — where profit and purpose are not in opposition, where your make-the-world-better work and your need to actually thrive financially are both taken seriously, and where the people around you understand that tension from the inside because they're living it too.
The answer lies in developing capacity and building slowly and steadily,
which is exactly what we are focused on in Building Entreprenuerial Capacity.
Here's what no business coach or mentor wants to say out loud: most of the people who are stuck aren't stuck because they don't know enough, haven't tried hard enough, or haven't found the right strategy yet. They sure as hell aren’t stuck because they just don’t care enough to jump into action.
They're stuck because they don't yet have the capacity to hold what they're trying to build, and most coaches and mentors can’t say that because they don’t even know that that’s the problem.
Capacity isn't confidence. It isn't mindset. It isn't a belief problem you can think your way out of or an identity shift you can journal your way into. It's a functional ability — the actual, physiological, practiced ability to stay present and operational under the specific pressures that building something real creates. Visibility. Risk. Rejection. Uncertainty. Success that asks more of you than you expected. Failure that hits harder than it should.
When capacity is the gap, strategy doesn't fix it.
A new offer doesn't fix it. A rebrand doesn't fix it. You can know exactly what to do and still not be able to make yourself do it — not because something is wrong with you, but because your nervous system, your narrative about yourself and your work, and your tolerance for the friction that change creates haven't been trained yet.
That's not a character flaw. It's a training problem. And it has a specific shape.
There are three capacities that determine whether you and your work can fully take off — and which one is most underdeveloped tells you almost everything about the specific flavor of stuck you're in.
What Clients Say…
Emotional Capacity is your cardio. It's the stamina to stay regulated — not calm, not unaffected, but functional and present under the specific pressures that building something real creates. Visibility. Risk. Rejection. The slow season that makes you question everything. The successful launch that somehow still doesn't feel like enough. Without it or with too much of it, you move in cycles: build and collapse, push and burn out, commit and abandon. Not because you're not cut out for this, but because you're running a marathon on a sprint tank.
Narrative Capacity is your flexibility. It's the ability to hold and tell the truth about your work and yourself — consistently, even when you feel discouraged, even after a setback, even when the response isn't what you hoped for. It's what lets you be seen without it feeling like a threat. It's what makes your messaging sound like you rather than a sanded-down, palatable version of you that nobody’s reading because it’s so boring. It’s what lets you take a big gamble, lose, and decide that you really needed the lesson you just received in order for the next gamble to pay off. Without it, you stay hidden inside work that deserves to be seen. Or you show up in bursts and disappear when it gets uncomfortable, the inconsistency costing you more than the original fear did. With too much of it, you can keep yourself from jumping into action, staying in the story of everything happening for a reason or believing there’s still more lessons to learn, when really, it’s well past time to move on.
Change Capacity is your strength. It's your ability to absorb difficulty without interpreting it as evidence you were wrong to try. To iterate publicly without needing it to be perfect first. To raise the price, make the pivot, walk away from what's misaligned, and double down on what's right even when it's not yet working — and to grow the actual structure and strategy of your business to match your real vision, not just what felt manageable when you started. Without it, you hit a ceiling and call it a wall. You mistake a capacity problem for a destiny problem. You decide the vision was too big rather than recognizing that you just haven't yet built the strength to carry it. With too much of it, you burn out every single time, unable to attune and slow down to see if the ladder you're climbing to the building you just built is even aligned with who you are and what you want.
Most people have one capacity that's significantly underdeveloped relative to the others, and it becomes the limiting factor for everything.
The person who stays busy in their work, hides behind their to-do list, their role, or professionalism, who struggles to outsource or let in support, who often feels like they have to do it all alone and who keeps hitting an upper limit ceiling or straight burning out when they feel close to their goals often has an emotional capacity gap.
The person who keeps second-guessing their messaging, abandoning their positioning, or hiding work they know is good usually has a narrative capacity gap.
The person who understands themselves deeply, has done significant personal development work, and who often knows exactly what to do and can't make themselves do it usually has a change capacity gap.
The good news: We can build capacity. In fact, that’s what this entire container is here to do! And the very best way to build it is by doing capacity work while you actually build the business, the platform, the vision you’ve been holding.
When we do, we become the ones who can execute the dreams we sometimes hold so close that nobody else even knows they exist.
And suddenly, those dreams, that work, it’s out in the world, and thriving.
Most business programs are built around an outcome and work backward from there.
Hit the revenue goal. Fill the program. Grow the audience. The process is whatever gets you to the number fastest, and the assumption is that if you just follow the steps, you'll get the result.
This container is built around process first, because the outcomes you desire become inevitable once you build the capacity and the business structure around what you desire. We don't skip the result, we just don’t concentrate solely on getting it.
Sound crazy? It’s not, and I can prove it. Imagine if in the bedroom, your sole focus was reaching an orgasm because that was your desired “outcome.” Does that focus and pressure make it easier or harder to reach the result you want? Focus on the process instead though… and that result suddenly becomes a lot more likely to happen.
Solid Psychological Bones + Trauma Informed + Somatically Grounded
The psychological framework behind this work is meaningfully different from what most coaching programs offer. This isn't a methodology someone picked up from their last coach and repackaged. It's a unique, evidence-based approach to building capacity that draws on real clinical understanding and training on how humans regulate, how narrative shapes behavior, and how people actually change — applied directly to the specific pressures of building a business.
The Humans in This Community
This room is a mixed container of coaches, creatives, service providers, practitioners, and platform builders across industries, all of whom care deeply about the impact of their work and none of whom are willing to compromise their values to get there — and who also want to make real money, build real audiences, and execute real visions. That combination is genuinely rare. Most rooms skew one way or the other. This one holds both, and the learning that happens across industries and business models, between people who share values, is part of what makes this container extraordinary.
What This Actually Is
Building Entrepreneurial Capacity is a long-term incubator for founders, innovators, and creators doing make-the-world-better work — designed to hold both you and your business through as many evolutions as it takes to get where you're going.
It’s your turn.
I know what you need…
Not a sprint. Not a semester. Not a room you age out of once you hit a certain revenue number.
A container that can travel with you — through the building, the pivoting, the plateaus, the breakthroughs, and the seasons where life asks more of you than your business does (or vice versa).
It blends the community, depth, and long-term commitment of a mastermind with the grounded frameworks and practical strategy of a focused group program — all held inside a trauma-informed, somatically grounded approach to capacity building that most business containers don't even know is missing.
You bring whatever is actually happening — in your business, in your life, in the gap between the vision you're holding and where you are right now. This space can hold it all, and help you integrate it all back into expanding capacity and bringing your vision to life.
You need a space where someone shows you how to do the reps that make sense for you, right where you are.
Because living a big life require reps.
Reps in courage.
Reps in discernment.
Reps in staying steady when things get scary, hard, or disappointing.
That’s what this space is for: building the muscle to hold what you’re creating.

This isn’t a mastermind where we hand you an 18-point sales script and tell you to close hard on pain points.
It’s not a high-ticket “get in the bath, hold the vision, and pleasure your way to six figures” magical-thinking-only kind of space, either.
It’s a gym for your entrepreneurial nervous system.
A training ground for your entrepreneurial capacity.
A place to build the internal and structural strength required to hold the business you actually want to run.
Because we’re not here to perform success.
We’re here to build a strong body of work.
A strong body of leadership.
And a strong internal foundation that doesn’t collapse at the first “no” or a slow launch.
Signs this is for You!
You do work you genuinely believe in and you want to make real money doing it — and you refuse to compromise one for the other.
You're stuck. Whether that's stuck getting started, stuck at a ceiling you can't seem to break through, or stuck in a freeze knowing exactly what you need to do and not doing it — you're ready to understand why and actually change it.
You've tried other programs and walked away with strategies you couldn't implement, frameworks that didn't fit, or support that ran out before the real work began.
You're nervous to invest again. Something didn't go the way you hoped — a coach, a program, a launch, a season — and trust doesn't come as easily as it used to. You're here anyway because part of you knows the answer isn't to stop trying.
You're building a platform, a body of work, a speaking career, or an audience and you're not sure how to monetize it, not sure if you should, or not sure you're the kind of person who can do it without it feeling like a sellout.
You want to be challenged — in your thinking, your patterns, your capacity — by someone who will also meet you exactly where you are.
You're in it for the long game. You want results that are repeatable, embodied, and yours to keep.
Signs you’re in the wrong place
Revenue numbers matter more to you than how you get there or who it costs along the way.
You're convinced there's a shortcut and you're still looking for it.
You want someone to hand you the answers and check every decision before you make it. That's not coaching, and this isn't that.
You're not willing to be challenged in your mindset, your habits, or your capacity. If you already have it figured out, this container has nothing to offer you.
You need this to work immediately or it's not worth it. If you're in a place of such acute financial scarcity that you can't settle in and build, this isn't the right moment. Stability first.
This is where you stop believing you aren't the right person to execute your vision.
Where you stop worrying about whether you are ready, and start taking steps toward what you want to build even if those steps are wobbly, building capacity along the way.
This is where entrepreneurs are built, even if business, marketing, visibility, sales, or structure hasn't come naturally to you.
This is where dreams and visions get birthed into reality, and the people behind movements build capacity that allows them to hold what they are building…
Whether that's a small business that pays the bills and allows for your heart-centered work to impact the world, or a giant platform where your voice is reaching millions, or anything in between.
We are genuinely excited to help you with all of it. Come build with us, in a community of true collaboration, filled with solid humans with ethics, values, and missions that will inspire you.
Let’s create a new path, together.
What becomes possible when capacity catches up to vision?
Imagine launching a new offer…
and no one signs up. You don’t spiral—you get strategic. You tweak the messaging, pivot the plan, and get back in the game—because your self-worth isn’t riding on the results.
Imagine posting something vulnerable online…
and not obsessively checking your phone every 5 minutes (seconds?) for the next 24 hours. You press send and get on with your day, without wondering if it was too much, if you’re about to be cancelled, or if you should go back and edit it with a softer tone— because you know you’re okay, no matter what the response is.
Imagine taking a week off…
not because you’re burnt out or avoiding what’s not working, but because you planned for it. No messages. No emails. No clients in panic. No creeping anxiety that it’ll all fall apart without you. Just you, coming back fully rested—because you trust your systems, your team, and most of all, yourself.
Imagine a new idea for a product dropping in…
and you don’t second guess whether it’s the right direction, or whether people will want to buy it, because you know how to determine and decide whether it’s the right direction for your company or whether it’s a distraction.
Imagine reviewing your monthly numbers…
instead of freezing, spiraling, or avoiding your bookkeeping for three weeks, you look at the data like a leader. You make decisions based on information, not fear. You adjust, refine, recalibrate—without attaching it to your worth or making it mean you’re failing.
Imagine raising your prices…
and you don’t collapse, over-explain, or panic that everyone will leave. You raise them because your business is growing, your skills are deepening, and you trust your value. You trust your clients to choose what’s aligned for them. You trust yourself to hold the standard.
Imagine walking into a difficult conversation…
with a contractor, a collaborator, a partner, or a client
and you’re steady. Neutral. Able to hold nuance without collapsing, attacking, or fawning. You stay rooted in truth, repair, and leadership instead of reactivity.

Meet Your Coaches
Jen Underwood
Entrepreneurial Capacity & Leadership Coach
Jen Underwood isn't here to hand you someone else's roadmap. She's here to help you build the capacity to walk your own.
An ex-therapist, high school teacher, and entrepreneur since 2013, Jen has built multiple seven-figure businesses both inside and outside the coaching industry. She created the Three Capacities framework — mapping emotional, narrative, and change capacity to the foundational fitness required to hold an expanding vision and the work required to bring it to life. She trains humans in Emotional Leadership and works directly with founders, creatives, and people doing make-the-world-better work who are ready to stop performing their way through business and start building something that actually holds.
She's the one you call when you know something needs to change but you can't quite name what, when the old way of doing things has stopped working, or when you're ready to build something real and you need someone who can hold the weight of that with you. Her approach is trauma-informed, somatically grounded, and relentlessly honest. She won't tell you to push harder. She'll help you figure out what's actually in the way.
When she's not coaching, Jen is at home in Denver, Colorado with her teenage daughter, their dog Leo, and two cats — probably laughing at something inappropriate over takeout in the kitchen or burning the rulebook on what leadership and parenting are supposed to look like.
Laura Von Wahlde
Identity Transformation Coach & Business Support Systems Specialist
Laura Von Wahlde is your dedicated support coach inside Building Entrepreneurial Capacity.
A burnout-slaying, bullshit-cutting coach with a background in psychology and a sharp eye for the stories that keep women small, Laura helps big-hearted humans recover from hustle culture, remember who they are, and actually build a life and business that feels like them—not a Pinterest board of what success is “supposed” to look like.
She’s trained in Emotional Leadership, trauma-informed coaching, and the fine art of not giving a damn about outdated expectations. Whether you’re melting down on a Zoom call or finally saying what you really want, Laura holds the kind of space that can handle your fire and your fear. She won’t hand you a 10-step plan. She’ll help you build capacity for the truth—and then make moves that honor it.
When she’s not coaching, Laura’s probably dancing in the kitchen, dismantling internalized capitalism, or reminding her clients (and herself too sometimes, let’s be real)... that rest is not a reward.
